Why did sasori kill himself

He would have owned them into next week. It didnt necessarily say that he chose to die though that is a valid interpretation but it could have been that he hesitated after seeing his parents which is slightly different.

Its also not clear that if he dodged that attack that he would have pwned Chiyo and Sakura, they werent totally down and out yet. Either way, Sasori was defeated by his really f'ed up emotional state, which is a weakness like any other. Thats like saying that Kakuzu let himself be hit by Kakashi's raikiri. Sasori might have just been suprised at seeing his parents and hesitated long enough for him to get hit. That is not the same as wanting to die.

Kabuto didnt let himself get hit he was caught by Naruto and couldnt move but he got his hit in and knew he could probably take the damage of rasengan so it didnt matter that he couldnt dodge it. The naruto world allows for stronger opponents to get beaten due to circumstances which is something I like about Naruto.

This is the mangaka's way of telling us Sasori should have won. It is a clever technique for Kishi to use Sakura's expression and reaction, to avoid explaining, which should be, the obvious. I admit that perhaps Im a little to trusting of admitting that Kishi made mistakes. It would have been better if Tsunade had made a little effort and held down Kabuto's leg or something preventing Kabuto from dodging naruto's parry and ultimately allowing Naruto to hit him with Rasengan. This one is interesting because Zetsu was technically two beings inhabiting the same body, and White Zetsu was killed during the Fourth Great Ninja War when Sasuke used him as target practice while testing out his new eyes.
